Steve and Cheryl and the Cardinal Nation
We had a good weekend (Sat. - Mon.) in St. Louis. Not only did the Cards win both games, but we also had great seats.
On Saturday we showed up without tickets hoping to use my "Clergy Pass." With the game sold out the pass was not helpful. Still, we waited around outside the gate to take in the excitement of everyone else going to the game. While we waited someone approached us with two $55.00 tickets that they were willing to sell for $30.00. We couldn't pass it up! We sat in field level box seat closer than we have ever been to the action. The section also had it's own restrooms and a special food service/bar under the stadium.
On Sunday our seats from the Hilton "Baseball Package" put us in outfield box seats about 13 rows from the third base line. Not bad. The view from the room was pretty good too.
Non game time during our stay was spent shopping at a new mall (the Mills), touring the AB brewery, touring the new stadium, and shopping at an antique mall.
Overall we had a great, though short, vacation.
