Helping Strays
Cats and dogs provide wonderful companionship and amusement for their owners, but not everyone can handle the responsibility that comes with owning a pet. This often leads to neglect and abandonment leaving cats and dogs throughout Monroe County sick and without homes. Helping Strays has made it their mission to take in domestic animals that are homeless or neglected and nurse them to health, then place them in homes where they’ll be cared for and loved by responsible owners. Through fundraising efforts, fostering programs and adoption events, Helping Strays has helped hundreds of dogs and cats find their “furever” homes.
As animal lovers, HTC is proud to support Helping Strays by providing dependable Internet and phone service. Whether their posting adoptable pets on Facebook or making calls to potential new owners, the organization doesn’t have to worry about technical difficulties that could stand in the way of placing a pet. They can just focus on taking care of the animals they love, while we do the job we love!
