HTC delivers the future with FiberNet

Harrisonville Telephone Company is announcing the launch of a trial project that will bring a new technology into two local developments.  This new project, called HTC FiberNet, will position these new developments among the first in the state of Illinois and the nation to utilize this new technology.

What is HTC FiberNet?  HTC FiberNet is a network deployment strategy that provides a fiber optic connection from our telephone switching location all the way into a customer’s home.  The technology is commonly referred to as Fiber to the Home (FTTH).  Typically, standard telephone connections are delivered with copper wires into your home, but with HTC FiberNet you get the very latest telecommunications services capable of fulfilling both short and long term customer requirements delivered over a fiber optic connection. 

“As the Internet evolves and customer requirements continue to increase on both voice and data services, HTC FiberNet can fulfill these requirements”, stated H. R. Gentsch, President and CEO.  “HTC FiberNet will offer the same high quality voice connections customers are accustomed to receiving, along with providing enhanced high-speed data capabilities above and beyond traditional copper networks.”  HTC FiberNet allows Harrisonville Telephone Company the opportunity to build a futuristic network capable of delivering both existing services and new services.  With HTC FiberNet, bandwidth is on full throttle for Internet surfing and the information super highway.

Currently Harrisonville Telephone Company is addressing deployment in two local developments, Bluff Meadows of Valmeyer, Illinois and Country Club Hills of Waterloo, Illinois.  “We have worked extensively with the development groups in these areas to assist in delivering a successful deployment”, stated H. R. Gentsch.  “Their cooperation will help ensure these successful initial deployments and any possible additional future deployments”.

Homeowners in these new developments can expect to utilize this state of the art services using their existing customer premise equipment for both voice and data.  No special equipment or additional fees are associated with the standard HTC FiberNet connection.
