A Usability Test Storyboard -- The Test in Progress

The facilitator and the customer are seen on a video monitor.
The observers are seated in a separate room.

The observers watch both the customer and the computer screen.
The observers listen as the customer describes what he is thinking.
Video cameras and microphones allow for remote observation and for recording of the test.
The computer monitor at the right provides a better view of the computer screen.
The facilitator ensures that the customer is comfortable.
Depending on the kind of test, the facilitator might also ask occasional questions.
