Hello Shipmates, On Saturday June 21st 2003 I was fortunate enough to spend a very rainy evening and then breakfast with three old friends I haven’t seen in 16 years: Theo Bolonga, Todd Darr and Reggie Farmer. About three years ago I was able to hook up with Gene Shaw and Dave Hulin for a similar experience down in Virginia. These two experiences have taught me one thing; I’m an ass for not keeping in touch with the best group of guys I’ve ever come across. The times we spent together at that time period in our lives was like no other. The stories and memories we had could never get boring or over told. And after conversations with these guys I see I’m not alone in my feelings about that time period in our life. It would really be something great to see a large scale reunion, part of me says we probably wont be able to do it till we’re much older and retired because we are simply all too busy. I’m hoping I’m wrong, life is short, and as you see by these pics, we ain’t getting any younger.
Below are a couple of pics (not in any order), If anyone wanted to know where that nice picture of the Birmingham disappeared to, Todd Darr has keep it safe for the last 16 years, he even swindled autographs from the CO and XO on it somehow.
The pictures include Theo and his wife Annie (yes they were married, he showed me the pics, he did it in Hawaii no less)
Todd and his Wife Michelle and Reggie and his significant other Alcohol (Hiney for short).
