Multiple Intelligences Project

How are you smart?

Your task for this project is to demonstrate how you feel you are intelligent based on Howard Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligences. First, you should take the survey from the previous page. After you take the survey and compile its results, select two-three intelligences that represent how you are smart.

In a brown grocery bag or a shoe box, put an item that represents your intelligence. For example, a book could represent verbal-linguistic, a soccer ball could stand for B.K., and drawing could represent visual-spatial. Decorate the bag or shoe box with your name, possibly some pictures, and the words of the intelligences that you possess. You will also need to bring two-three index cards to class with your bright, neat, big name on them.

In class, everyone will share their items that represent their intelligence and listeners will have the opportunity to answer questions. Hopefully, you will learn something new about everyone in class (including yourself). After your informal talk, you will put your name card next to the your intelligence on the M.I. web on the wall.
