Writing Workshop
  Every class will begin with writing workshop.  During the workshop,  we will review  various writing skills such as sensory details, transitions, looping, coherence, etc.  Workshop will be worth ten points every class period, and you cannot make up the points.   Occasional quizzes will be given according to the instructor's discretion.

 
One-Minute Paper Requirements

You must turn in a one-minute paper at the end of every class period (10 points per day).  I'll save the last few minutes of class for you to respond to the questions below.   Put your ideas underneath your writing workshop activity for the day.  Remember to use loose leaf paper.

                   1.  Name the most important thing you learned in class today.
                        2.  What new questions did you think of today? OR What should we review?
                        3.  Suggest how we might improve class assignments, activities, environment, etc.

Realize the importance of attendance.  Each class is worth at least 30 points!
