Showing Our Commitment to Community
Our goal is to have a positive impact on the communities we serve in southwestern Illinois.
To us, this means going beyond providing local homes and businesses with excellent communications products and services. It also means lending our support to several area businesses, organizations, events, and individuals.
Customer Appreciation Scholarships
Every year, HTC offers $13,000 in post-secondary education scholarships to youth in our telephone serving area.
Our goal is to support their continuing growth and learning with these scholarships, which include the Harrisonville Telephone Company Scholarship at SWIC, the $4,000 Harrisonville Telephone Company/Henry W. Gentsch Memorial Scholarship at SIU-C, and the Foundation for Rural Service National Scholarship.
Monroe County YMCA – HTC Center
Giving people of all ages access to community programs is important to us, which made becoming the title sponsor of Monroe County YMCA – HTC Center a no-brainer.
Thanks to the YMCA, area residents can participate in affordable health and fitness programs that can be life-changing.
Customer Appreciation Night at the Monroe County Fair
You can find HTC at the Monroe County Fair every summer. During Fair Week, our commitment to community truly shines through on Customer Appreciation Night.
On Customer Appreciation Night, everyone receives free admission as well as $1 food and beverage coupons. These coupons can be used at stands hosted by local organizations, who then turn the coupons into us at HTC to receive a check.

Beyond these examples, we strive to remain true to our commitment to community through regular support of local sports teams, concerts, and other events.
