Heart to Heart Pediatrics
Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Ginny Peter truly enjoys taking care of kids in Waterloo — the same town where she is raising her own. She opened Heart to Heart Pediatrics in 2019 to offer holistic health services to children from infants through age 20. Ginny and her staff strive to get to know each family to ensure they feel right at home in the office. Patients not only have access to multiple nurse practitioners, but also registered nurses, mental health experts, and lactation counseling.
Whether parents are concerned about a sick child or want to stay informed about the best preventive care, they know they can count on Heart to Heart for help. Lines of communication are always open since the staff relies on HTC for Internet and phone services. Ginny says community and family values are what makes working and living here her dream, and we couldn’t be happier to help her make it happen.
Songs 4 Soldiers
On September 15 and 16, this wonderful organization that supports combat veterans will host its 10th annual benefit concert weekend. Dustin Row founded Songs 4 Soldiers after serving in Iraq himself. He noticed upon his return to the US that many veterans did not have the resources to afford to pay bills, make home repairs, or even buy a vehicle. Organizing a concert featuring local and national artists was the perfect way to collect donations for these deserving soldiers. That first concert was so successful that it’s grown tremendously over the past decade, and Songs 4 Soldiers has since collected over $1 million and helped over 700 veterans. At this year’s concert in Bolm-Schuhkraft Park, Travis Tritt will headline Friday night, and Cheap Trick will play Saturday night.
