HTC TV Now Recording Features
How to set and manage recordings
To set a recording, find the program in the guide and select Record.
If the program is part of a series, you can choose to automatically record new episodes as they air. You can also choose to record from only specific channels, only new episodes (no-reruns), and can extend the recording time.
Managing your DVR space
HTC TV Now DVR service automatically manages your space by deleting old recordings to make room for new ones. You can always override this default behavior by Saving recordings or by manually deleting recordings.
Generally, you can let the system manage your recording space. If you find that you need to Save a lot of recordings or old episodes are being deleted too quickly, you can buy more space - up to 300 hours!
How to Save recordings
If you have recordings you want to hang on to, you can Save them. This prevents them from being automatically deleted after their expiration date or if your DVR space is full.
You can save up to 10 hours of recordings.
To Save a recording, find the Recording and select the Save button on the right side.
It will then appear in the Saved section of the Recordings menu.
How to manually delete recordings
If you want to manually delete an old recording, find the recording and select Delete.
The recording will be moved to the Deleted menu for 72 hours. During this time, you can restore or permanently delete recordings in the Deleted menu. This feature was added so users can restore items they didn't intend to delete.
Please note: the DVR hours available will not change until the items are removed from the Deleted items. The system will still reclaim the space if needed, so even if your hours show completely full, new programs will still be recorded and the deleted items will automatically be cleared out.
